Lets start with the new building. Accepting the job as an RA gave me one super awesome perk, a new building with a new SINGLE room. (So take that Laura!)
I tried to take the photos so that if you stitched them all together you would get the whole room! And it may look small but it is a square which means that it feels a lot bigger than it actually is. And yeah… it's a little messy, but I don't think it's that bad. (Oh, and notice the keurig… I am now making not only coffee, but tea, KD, oatmeal and hot chocolate all without leaving my humble abode!).
As for the building it is HUGE, this residence holds 50% of the students who live on campus. But they split it up and as long as you don't think about it too much it kind of feels homey. … Kind of.
If you notice my red vest hanging on my chair, that is my new RA vest that I wear on call. (When I roam around the whole building and try to catch people doing bad things). Being an RA is pretty fun, mainly because of the people that I work with. It feels like a second family and honestly, the students really don't care that I am here so I am kind of just living normally, but I have to put up posters and update them frequently.
As for classes they seem a lot better than first semesters classes were. Chemistry is awful but I love my new professor. Cellular bio is super cool and I can't wait to keep going into that! Right now we are doing a case study learning about type 2 diabetes and the cellular process of Glut4 which is a carrier of glucose. In my new economics class it's pretty fun because we watch a ton of videos instead of doing text book readings, so I think I will actually do all the homework in that class. And my last course is Agronomy, which is looking at how agriculture affects the eco system (which most kids don't care about, but I consider it pretty relevant to what we will be doing in the future!).
Oh and bonus… I have discovered a new look that I would call hobo but other students call it boho chic. Which is where you wear a ton of baggy clothing but somehow others consider it cute and honestly I don't even need ten minutes to get ready in the morning!

Again… I would say hobo but I have gotten compliments ALL DAY.
So that is my update for now. It was a pretty big one but I think that I am going to love second semester. Oh yeah, and my car is doing wonderfully in her new giant parking lot of a home. They don't really plough it so she doesn't get out much but she is okay with that…
Love you all lots! Can't wait till reading week!
